Waking up early during your holiday is a sin – or that’s what Tyler usually advocates. But he was too eager to meet Horace again, so he woke up really early, took a quick shower, dressed as nicely as he could, and he went down to the dining room just five minutes after it opened for breakfast.
Horace wasn’t there.
Well, neither were there any other guests. But after a while, they started coming. A rather huge breakfast and three cups of coffee later, Tyler started feeling he had probably overstayed there. Guests had stopped coming some time ago, but Horace never came down.
Apparently there weren’t many guests staying at the inn, and most of them were older than Tyler. Other than one young couple, that is.
Anyway! Tyler went to the lounge and took a magazine to read. That was his excuse, at least. Other guests were there, too, and had some not-so-quiet conversations, but Tyler put up with this for quite a while. Horace, though, didn’t come down.
“Not a morning bird, is he?”
Eventually he decided to return to his room. He tried to continue reading the book he had started yesterday, but a certain grin was popping into his mind all the time, distracting him. And he chose to indulge in that distraction, which he found much more interesting than the story in the book.
And lunchtime came. Although he wasn’t at all hungry after that breakfast, he went down to have some. Horace wasn’t there, and Tyler couldn’t stall for as long as he did in the morning.
So, after he finished his lunch, he went to the back garden to have a stroll. He reached the fernery. He even tried to go behind the trees, from where Horace had appeared, but he only found a stone wall. Tyler burst into laughter.
“Oh my gods! He was peeing!”
“…”
“I’d love to have held it for him!”
And he blushed. And his trousers suddenly became too tight, so he returned to his room to take care of this.
Then, he took a nap. He had woken up too early, so he wanted to make sure that were he to meet up with Horace in the evening, he wouldn’t be too tired to stay with him for as long as he wanted and… maybe go to his room and have a long, long night? Yeap! A nap was a must!
He woke up quite late. He cleansed himself thoroughly and dressed too warmly. Tonight he wouldn’t be freezing, no matter what October had planned.
He went down to have his dinner. No sight of Horace. Then, he got four beers. He didn’t intend to drink them all, of course. One, maybe two. But shouldn’t he also have some for the grinning cutie?
When he reached the lone bench at the orchard, it was empty. The heater by its side made it really tempting, too. But! If Horace hadn’t left the inn, and if he really meant it when he said they’d meet, wouldn’t he be expecting to find him at the fernery? So, he went on.
He scanned the people at the summer house – just in case – and he continued. It was a little after he had passed the summer house, when from behind him, suddenly, a rather loud “Boo!” came.
He jumped on the spot and screamed. Horace was laughing.
“You, evil bastard!”
“Oh! You are so cute, sweet Ty!” He smiled oh-so-warmly, and Tyler blushed. And he lowered his eyes, and he blushed even more.
Apparently, Horace was wearing the same white shirt, half open – like yesterday – but had he “forgotten” to fasten one more button? Nice gift! And Tyler’s rationality flew out of the window, if you know what I mean.
Maybe Tyler intended to ask where Horace was all day. Maybe he wanted to ask for his phone number, so they could find each other. But all those thoughts had now vanished, and only one remained: “Is he trying to excite me?”
And Tyler’s trousers grew tight again.
Anyway!
So, the boys, walking side by side, reached the fernery and sat on the same bench they had sat on the previous night.
“Would you like a beer?” Tyler asked.
“Sure.”
Have you ever seen in movies and the like how easily some people open a bottle of beer with just their hand, or a lighter, or a coin? I gather that’s a special talent – or the bottles in the scene are rigged – because I can’t do it. And Tyler had a hard time doing it, as well.
He should have known better, you may think, but, you see, yesterday, he only got one bottle, and they opened it for him at the bar. But carrying four open bottles in a bag wouldn’t be possible. So it took him some time to open those bottles. And Horace was laughing but didn’t offer any help. Instead, he raised his hands and said, “I can’t do it!”
Also, a friendly piece of advice. If you are hot for a guy, always give him a can of beer – never a bottle. You really don’t want to see him holding the neck of that bottle. No, that’s a lie. You do want to see that. It’s such an exciting spectacle. But maybe too exciting if you are sitting somewhere outdoors, where people might pass by.
And Horace seemed to enjoy holding – or stroking – that bottleneck more than actually drinking the beer. Which made Tyler drink more, to calm himself down. And after a while – a longer while than it felt like – Tyler had drunk three bottles, while Horace hadn’t yet finished his.
But the two boys had a pleasant time chatting and flirting. Horace seemed to be interested in everything about Tyler’s life. How London is, how the university is, how many friends he has, how many boyfriends he has had… everything.
On the other hand, when Tyler returned the questions to him, Horace was giving quick replies and returned the focus of the conversation back to Tyler. Which made Tyler feel quite embarrassed, and very flattered. I mean, that hottie was so interested in him? If that’s not a compliment, then what is it?
But eventually silence came – not an uncomfortable one, should I make it clear. It’s just that Horace didn’t ask anything more, and Tyler couldn’t think of a question to ask, or a topic to open. The stroking of that bottleneck, the small glimpses of that cute nipple, the view of that smooth chest, those captivating eyes and smile… no matter where Tyler looked, he had a reason to lose his mind. So how could he come up with something?
And that’s when Horace, sweetly, caressed Tyler’s face with the back of his fingers – and oh, how much did Tyler want to feel this again! Then Horace leaned a bit towards him.
“Sweet Ty,” he whispered, “would you hate me were I to become a little rude?”
“No. Of course not!”
“Thank you, Ty!” And Horace pecked Tyler’s lips – lightly. “Thank you for gifting me my first kiss.”
“Please, be rude again!”
And Horace kissed Tyler one more time. Still a peck more than a kiss. Still lightly. But for a bit longer. Just for a bit, though.
“Thank you, Rory! I love… d that.”
And Horace grinned more widely than ever before. “I’m glad, Ty. I promise, I’ll become better.”
“You are already perfect!”
And for the first time since they met, that cute hottie looked shy, with his head tilted down. But his eyes were still trying to look up to Tyler’s eyes. Unfortunately, the fernery wasn’t lit well enough, so Tyler couldn’t tell if and how much Rory had flushed.
“Ty?” Horace eventually asked. “Will you forgive me if I act unreasonably mean?”
“Are you going to kill me?”
“NO!!!”
Tyler giggled. “Do what you want, Rory. You are not mean.”
Horace stood up.
“I need to wish you goodnight. I’m sorry. I really love being with you. Please forgive me.”
OK! That’s not what Tyler expected, but he managed to hide his disappointment.
“See you tomorrow?”
“If you still want to, yes!”
“Of course I want to see you, Rory. Of course, I want!”
And Horace pecked the top of Tyler’s head, and hurriedly he left.
“Fuck!”
Tyler’s eyes watered while he was putting the beer bottles back in the bag. Horace’s was still almost full. He drank it, hoping to get a taste of Horace’s lips. His hand caressing the bottleneck Rory had touched. Then he returned to his room.
