The Fairy Boy

A pencil drawing of the profile of a guy, whose face fades away into the light. On top of the drawing the title "The Fairy Boy" is written with yellow letters.
Soft graphite portrait of a young man, with long, loosely curled hair, shown in profile with his head turned to his left. His delicate facial features are only faintly defined, while the outlines of his forehead, nose, lips and chin gradually dissolve into the light background. Darker graphite shading defines his hair and the left side of his face, creating a dreamy, ethereal appearance. The drawing combines softly blended graphite powder with finer pencil details.
The Fairy Boy – Yorgos KC

This is a graphite drawing of a young man whose appearance struck me as particularly fairy-like.

And by fairy, I don’t mean a tiny creature with wings. I’m thinking of those beautiful, humanlike magical beings, who could easily pass for humans.

I wanted to give him a dreamy, almost otherworldly appearance, so I made his face and characteristics gradually fade into the light.

Much of the drawing was created by applying graphite powder directly to the paper, almost like painting, before adding the darker details with pencils.
