I have this oil painting hanging on my wall. In fact, I’ve mentioned it before in one of my posts, when discussing the peculiar idea that an artist’s choice of subject somehow reveals their sexual orientation.
I paint naked men because I find them beautiful. But I can also find women’s bodies beautiful. And this particular composition was simply irresistible to me.
The light, the colours, the shape, the close crop… everything about it appealed to me, and I wanted to paint it.
So, I have a painting of a woman’s breasts on my wall, which I made myself.
Does that make me straight? 😏
