Hello September! (And a Warning)

Hello, people!

I’ve been away for a long time, I know. I’m currently back, but I won’t promise I’ll remain here for long. I won’t even promise I’ll try to do that. Moreover, I’ll probably stay away from social media, unless democracy returns to Greece – which I don’t see happening in my lifetime.

Now, usually my “Hello month” kind of posts try to be light-hearted, optimistic and full of dreams, but this one won’t be like this. It might even feel like a rude warning, actually. If it does, there is a very good and effective solution: unsubscribe.

So, first things first. This site and its author do not support – and won’t tolerate – discrimination against people based on gender, sexual identity and orientation, or race. We (me and the site) stand against any oppression, condemnation, or damnation of nudity and sexuality, in any form, and, also, we don’t call fascism “democracy”.

This also means we have no respect for philosophies and religions that do any of the above, which includes, but is not limited to, the four main religions of Jehovah. And, yes, I know that the Church of Satan doesn’t do most of these – maybe even any – but there is a proverb saying “tell me who your friends are, and I’ll tell you who you are”. And Satan’s best friend is Jehovah, so Satan can’t be a good fellow either. Right?

Which brings us to this image. It’s AI generated, because I wouldn’t spend time drawing or painting someone who wants me dead and yet claims he is a good fellow. So, the image shows Jehovah and his best friend Satan walking out of a place they have just destroyed, merrily chatting, recounting the evil they have committed and planning the next catastrophe they’ll bring.

Remember this image, because it will be the header image of posts examining the Bible – posts some of you might not want to read. After all, those aren’t Sunday-school kind of posts. They discuss how the Bible showcases the evilness of the “God”.

Also, keep in mind that I’ll be using AT, from “Anno Tenebrarum” (in the year of darkness) to refer to what Christians refer to as “Anno Domini” (in the year of their lord).

Also – once again, because a good author should never start two consecutive sentences with the same word – I don’t promise there won’t be religious comments in other posts. Like this one, for example, as you have undoubtedly noticed.

Additionally – you see? I’ve learned my lesson and changed the transition word – there will be social comments as well as posts dedicated to those. I won’t call those “political” because they don’t care about specific parties, but anyone – by name or not – who does their best to destroy democracy. The real thing, not the authoritarianism in the skin of democracy we are expected to accept as “democracy”.

As you have figured out from this post, if you didn’t know already, I’m not a Christian – by choice – but I’ll act very Christ-like and say that from now on I’ll adhere to the dogma of “the one who is not with me is against me” (Matthew 12:30). Incidentally, I noticed that King James’ Bible translates this as “he that is not…” but that’s simply inaccurate sexism. Christ, with this phrase, threatens people of all genders equally.

Is this saying divine? No. Is it loving? No. Is it democratic? No. But, you see, I’m a weak individual and not a power-holding politician, and the weak sometimes need to play dirty to survive. The weak have the excuse to use “necessary evil”. Does this make “necessary evil” right? No. But when the weak use it – and not as their first option, when they do have options – it’s not really wrong, either. When the ones in power use it, it can’t be right, nor can it be not-wrong.

So, I have – or should I say had? I hope so – always been naive enough to believe that people are good by nature and we only need to understand each other. Therefore I have – had, Yorgos, had! – always been respectful towards people who had opinions that opposed my existence, day-dreaming that they only needed to be understood and to understand. Big mistake. I was taught that the hard way last year.

Therefore, from now on comments will need to be approved. Unlike today’s “democratic” politicians, I’m still not a complete fascist, so if one has a different opinion than mine, and presents an actual argument, I will approve the comment and reply. But comments of sheep that dogmatically bellow “Four legs good, two legs better”, while ignoring horses being slaughtered to fund the pigs’ gambling and drinking, I’ll spam them without a second thought. So, be warned.

For those who didn’t recognise the animal symbolism in the previous paragraph, it’s from “The Animal Farm”. “The Animal Farm” was written to symbolise the deterioration of a specific constitution the author regarded as good, but it’s written broadly enough so it could very easily be a symbolism of the deterioration of democracy we experience.

On a brighter note, the short story I had promised before – the one that I described as the gay “Romeo and Juliet” the way Shakespeare should have written and he would never have written – is going to be published. And hopefully some other stories, as well as some other interesting – in my opinion – posts, but I’ll hold my tongue about those for now.

Of course, all these, if and only if freedom of speech is not criminalised for protecting democracy, our children, or whatever lie they’ll use to do that.
