The End of the Wizard “Arc”

Hello, people!

For some time now, I’ve been posting on a Friday stories, or story-related posts. So, I’ll “officially” declare Friday a story-related day for this blog, and I’ll call it “Writing Friday”. Therefore, unless there is a reason to post something else, I’ll reserve Fridays for such posts. And – hopefully – I’ll have enough of them to keep us busy.

The Wizard Posts

I’ve shared quite a few things about the Wizard, his worlds and his stories. I was considering to share the Wizard and Eric’s short, too, but I think this one would better fit after properly introducing Eric and his world. Even then, there might be a few points of the short that will escape you – they refer to knowledge that comes from Eric’s story – but, at least, it will be an understandable reading without spoilers.

So, what to expect on the coming Fridays?

Some very different things from my usual happily-ever-after, fiction romances. The short stories to come not only are they based on real experiences – mine or other’s – but, also, they don’t have happy endings.

First will come the edited version of “To Johnny with love”, which I informed you I was editing. I think it’s finally ready to be seen. “To Johnny with love”, is the first story I published on Wattpad, but it’s unedited, there, and it will stay that way. Why? Because Wattpad has the bad habit of updating the “published” date to the most recent revision. Both “1000” and “Gregory Kirk” appear, for this reason, to be newer than they are. So, I stopped editing any story, there, and I won’t edit any, in the future. But I’ll come back to these stories in a while.

After “To Johnny with love”, there will be some – probably three – stories from a collection I’m working on about situations that looked like they were romances in the making, but they never became one.

And After Those?

After these are published, there are some more plans, so stay tuned. 😋

I’m not sure about the exact order, but here are some things I have in mind:

Post a short story reminiscing of Romeo and Juliet in a way that will make Shakespeare spin in his grave. And he should! 😏

There are also two stories I’ve thought of and have been neglecting to work on because of all the time spent on reviving WordPress, Twitter, BlueSky and Wattpad – haven’t touched DeviantArt yet – and all the time spent – or wasted – on searching solutions to overcome the problems this new stupid law I’ve been complaining about repeatedly caused to me, for I can’t do much – or anything – about what it is causing to the world and the new generation. Unfortunately.

Anyway! Back to my topic. These two stories were inspired by a drawing I made, which was in turn inspired by Giuseppe Tartini’s dream which inspired “The Devil’s Trill” sonata. And by that sentence I think I made Bilbo Baggins proud! 😇

One is a short story – and if all goes well you can expect it here on Halloween, which coincidentally falls on a Friday this year. The other is a slightly longer one and it was planned for release before Halloween, but now this isn’t a very realistic plan. So, it will come later.

I also intend to upload the edited versions of “1000”, “Gregory Kirk” (which is already edited, just not on Wattpad), and “The House in the Lake”. Once again, if all goes well, “The House in the Lake” will be posted with a new gravure-like drawing for a cover. I have tried – repeatedly – to perfect its cover, but so far I haven’t made one that looks just-right. So, don’t hold your breath, but wish me luck!

There will be more art related posts, too, but this is a subject for another post.

About the Featured Image

The featured image is a photograph of mine. Unlike what I usually do – digitally adding the pink layer – the photograph is pink from the start, because I used a magenta photographic filter on the light.

Moreover, the book you see is on the image is “Gregory Kirk” and it’s open in the same page I always use for photographs. That’s on the last page of “The Wolf, the Rebel and the Classroom” chapter and the first page of “Jimmy’s Girlfriend” chapter.

Those are two of my favourite chapters of the book. Both humorous enough – I think – but, if you read between the lines, the former is not just for fun.

So, that’s all for this week. No story, but, hopefully, I’ve given you something to look forward to.
