Hello, People!

I was rummaging through my older files for some reason (you’ll probably guess why from a future post) and came across this interesting screenshot from 2018.

Back then I was using, mostly, public domain photos for my tweets, rather than my own photography and art. As I was getting ready for Book Lover’s Day, I thought of searching for an image of a “sophisticated sexy guy”, on DuckDuckGo.

Apparently my search term was… odd, to say the least. DuckDuckGo tried to figure out what I really wanted to say, and without much doubt it concluded that I meant to say “mature men gay sex videos”, although, reluctantly – in smaller font – it asked if I really meant “sophisticated sexy guy”. 🙄️

Ok! Let’s assume for a moment that I indeed didn’t know how to phrase, “mature men gay sex videos”, and the closest thing that came to mind was “sophisticated sexy guy”. We can all see how this can happen, right? 🤣️

So, DuckDuckGo searched the whole internet with the “correct” term, and what were its first three results?

1. Gay Daddy Porn: Sex Videos & Pics.

Fair enough. Matches the keywords.

2. Mature Hot Mom with Young Guy, Free Free Hot Mom Porn Video.

What?!?!?

3. Mature Woman Young Guy Porn Videos.

Again, what?!?!

To be fair, DuckDuckGo, back then, wasn’t nearly as capable as it became later on. Especially when someone, like me, turned “Safe Search” off, as you can see in the screenshot. Its results were as entertaining – if not more so – as Google Translate’s wild mistranslations. You could search, for example, “leather-bound books” and you’d get lots of porn images. Sometimes intriguing, sometimes not, but always a pleasant surprise in this unnaturally prudish world.

But years have passed, since then, and DuckDuckGo’s results are much better and closer to what you actually ask it to find. Less accidental porn, but you can always search for that when you intend to. On the dark side, internet’s puritanism is also stronger. 😮‍💨️

Anyway, more to the point, I’ve been socially “dead” for some (long) time now, and, thus, I wanted to let you know I am alive – I believe… 🤔️ – and not bad mood-wise.

I’ve been drawing and painting – not as much as I’d like, but not too little either. I’ve written a little, too. Or should I have said, I’ve written too little? …Something in between 😋️

I’ve also started editing the first short story I have published online and which was never edited. I’ll publish the polished edition here – not on Wattpad – when I’m happy with it.

Shit! I spilled why I was checking my old files, didn’t I?

Oh well, who cares?
