Hello!
It’s been a while, so let me start with saying that, health-wise I’m okay. Mood, of course, has seen better days, but, more or less, this is pretty common. Nonetheless, I hope you’ve been the exceptions!
Creative-wise? I haven’t been much. Writing seems to be avoiding me, as much as it can. I’ve done some drawing, though, and that’s something. I also tried to make some GIFs. I knew it would need much patience, but I hadn’t realised how much of it. When it ends up – vaguely – how I want it to, it feels good, though. Haven’t done many and I hope practice will make things easier. I have just started understanding how I should be thinking to make one. That’s a good first step.
But this is not a post about drawing, or making GIFs.
A couple of days ago, I was having my “morning” coffee and then, out of the blue, I saw a very bad omen: a malicious beast appeared. Ok! No. It wasn’t either malicious, or a beast, but it would be interesting, if it was, wouldn’t it be? On second thought, though, I probably wouldn’t be here to post anything, if that had happened. So, in fact, a tiny, very tiny, “blond” cockroach appeared. Yeap!
I’m not such a good guy, so I tried to kill it. Tried, but, cockroaches, the smaller they are the faster they are, apparently, so I failed and it disappeared, to hide somewhere, awaiting to grow big and come back for it’s revenge.
I’m not afraid of cockroaches, just to make things clear. I don’t like them, but I don’t particularly dislike them, either. I find them disgusting, and the feeling is mutual. You know that cockroaches, if they touch a human (and survive), cleanse themselves thoroughly? Yes! They find us disgusting. They like living around us, because, where there is a human there is food, but they are as much fond of us as we are of them.
Now, the supreme creature of nature is pretty harmless. So, what’s the problem? You see, cockroaches are tasty. Haven’t tried them, but ask any spider and they will attest to that. Well, in fact, there is a fast-food restaurant in Netherlands that serves insect burgers and they claim it’s yummy. I even know a guy who ate it and said that, once you forget what you are eating, it’s not bad, at all. I’ll call him a liar and I won’t try the burger to see if he really is. But, let’s forget the humans and go back to spiders. They are made to eat insects, so they have every right to find cockroaches tasty, and nobody can question their preferences. And that’s why, where there are cockroaches, sooner or later, spiders will appear.
I don’t live in Mordor, or so I claim, so spiders are harmless, too, here. They do tend to decorate your home, with their webs, without asking for your opinion, but that’s the only annoying thing they might do. So, spiders wouldn’t be a problem, either. Right?
Right! But you know, centipedes love eating spiders. So, once again, where there are spiders, sooner or later, centipedes will appear. Centipedes are not totally harmless. They are somewhat poisonous. If you have no allergy to their poison, it will only cause you some pain, though. I don’t really want to find out if I have an allergy to their poison, but the problem doesn’t stop there.
Centipedes are good food for some birds and for small lizards. It goes without saying, then, that those are bound to appear, too.
And then snakes are sure to come, as they enjoy eating those small lizards, and then some snake eating animals and birds will come. And as you can understand, sooner than later, I’ll wake up in a jungle-like environment, surrounded by dangerous, human-eating beasts. In my apartment. In the middle of a city. And these beasts will reproduce and soon enough they’ll overtake the city, the country and, then, the world, and our civilisation will come to an end.
So, now you see my problem. What should I do? Bombarding my apartment would be a solution, but, then, I wouldn’t have a place to live. Or… well… maybe in a prison-cell? Another solution? Exterminate the cockroaches. I think I’ll do that, because, let’s face it, killing leopards and wearing their skin is not what a bunny should be doing.
That’s all for now. Have fun!
I feel deeply for you in your plight, Bunny! What a terrible dilemma!
However, I do agree wholeheartedly that no self-respecting bunny should consider even for a moment such a plan as attempting to exterminate a big pussycat, however much the resulting leopard skin print might suit him (and I’m sure it would!) The thing is – big pussycats tend to have have big pointy teeth! And bunny rabbits are cute, furry, little…& probably rather tasty to eat!
My advice – go for the cockroach!
Good luck!

-giggles- Kill ’em, kill ’em! Ahem. I found a baby cockroach about the size of the nail on my pinky finger two days ago. I killed it, but paranoia set in and so I wasted a lot of time and energy scrubbing inside my cupboards…just in case it had gotten inside. When it comes to bugs, I have a policy of non-interference…outside. Once they come inside, they’re not welcome. At. All.
Sorry, I’ll take my bloodthirsty self away now. Glad you’re well, Yorgos. 🙂

Indeed! Once they’re inside, they are illegal intruders, deserving the death penalty! 🤣🤣

Absolutely! I have a fly swatter for instant, painless executions but sometimes have to spray with eucalyptus oil first. 😦
